Launch Complex 40 has been renovated from its Titan roots to vehicle specific hardware for the Falcon 9 program. Launch Complex 40 now acts as a stand-alone launch facility. It features a horizontal building in which the Falcon 9 is prepared for flight. The rocket is erected to its vertical position at the launch pad prior to launch.
