Launch Complex 19 was one of four launch complexes built in support of Titan missile testing. The complex was built at a cost of about $6 million. Construction began on February 18, 1957 with acceptance by the Air Force on June 16, 1959. The complex was later modified for the NASA Gemini Program, acting as the launch site for ten manned Gemini flights. Launch Complex 19 is currently abandoned, with the blockhouse and concrete elements of the launch pad intact. Remains of the Launch Complex 19 service tower and white room, which stood on the launch pad for many years, have been removed. The white room is currently being displayed at the Air Force Space and Missile Museum located at Launch Complex 26. The complex was declared a National Historic Landmark in April, 1984.
